Reading are set to land Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria on loan until the end of the season, according to talkSPORT.
The 21-year-old was on loan in the Scottish Premier League with Rangers for the first half of this season. Liverpool have decided to send him to Reading for the remainder of the campaign.
Ejaria played 28 games for Rangers in all competitions this, chipping in with two goals.
Reading are struggling in the Championship and are in the relegation zone. Their new manager, Jose Gomes, is looking to sign some players this month to help mount a survival charge.
Ejaria spent the latter half of last season on loan at Sunderland in the second tier but could not prevent the North-East side from relegation to League One.
The London-born midfielder started his career at Arsenal and rose through the youth ranks at the Emirates Stadium. However, he made the switch to their Premier League rivals Liverpool in 2014.
Ejaria made his first-team debut for the Reds in September 2016 in a League Cup tie against Derby County. He has since made seven more appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side and has also represented England at both Under-20 and Under-21 level.
There is no doubt that Ejaria has talent and he has got some first-team experience under his belt from his spells at Sunderland and Rangers. It is now time for him to fully prove himself at Reading.
