Major blow reveals first-team star injury blow worse than Leeds expected

Adam Forshaw has a knee injury that is worse than Leeds were expecting, according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay.

The last game he played was the 3-1 defeat to Norwich at the start of February. After that, manager Marcelo Bielsa said that he might make the Middlesbrough clash a week later.

He missed that and it was then said he could be back for the Swansea game. He missed that too and was then ruled out of the Bolton and QPR games.

In Monday’s press conference, Bielsa didn’t give a return date and just said he needed more time.

One Leeds fan asked Phil Hay, “What’s actually wrong with Forshaw? Was a ‘doubt’ for Boro away and since missed six games.”

Phil Hay responded saying, “Knee problem. A bit worse than Leeds expected (but not major).”

Hay delivered his update on Monday night on his personal Twitter page.
