Celtic trio a doubt for Scottish Cup final against Hearts

Defeat at Ibrox has left Neil Lennon sweating over the fitness of some players with less than two weeks until Hampden showdown.

Three Celtic players are now doubts for the Scottish Cup final against Hearts after picking up injuries in their 2-0 Old Firm derby defeat to Rangers.

The Jambos go to Celtic park for their final game of the season this Sunday before the sides meet again at Hampden six days later to decide who will lift the famous old trophy.

The Celts are chasing an historic treble treble while Hearts are seeking their fourth Scottish Cup win in 21 years.

Neil Lennon could be without three of his first team regulars after a costly afternoon at Ibrox last weekend, according to the Daily Record .

French striker Odsonne Edouard injured his ankle late on, but stayed on the pitch after Celtic had used all of their substitutes.

Hamstring injuries to both Jonny Hayes and Mikael Lustig have also had their fitness cast in to doubt.

Lustig was taken off at half-time while Hayes soldiered on until the final whistle.

Hearts are likely to be without Steven Naismith, who revealed at the club’s Player of the Year night that it was “inevitable” that he would sign a permanent deal with the club.

Peter Haring won’t play before the final to give him the best chance of shaking off a groin problem.
