Leicester City have been told the price they must pay to trigger the release clause of January transfer target Ibai Gomez.
According to TEAMtalk, who cite claims made in Spain, the Alaves winger would be available for around £9 million, with Foxes manager Claude Puel keen to bolster his attacking options.
It is understood that Championship high-flyers Leeds United are also keen to sign the Spaniard, but a move to an established Premier League side could prove to be the difference.
Gomez has been a key part of Alaves’ side this season, with the Basque side sitting sixth in the table after 16 games. He has been an ever-present in the team so far, scoring three goals.
With the likes of Demarai Gray and Rachid Ghezzal already in contention for wide roles at Leicester, a move for 29-year-old Gomez could seem unusual but more competition for places in the squad could be more beneficial in the future.
