Derby County midfielder to miss Birmingham and QPR games

Duane Holmes is an injury doubt for Derby County’s Easter double-header against Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers.

Holmes missed Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers due to a thigh problem.

While it is not yet clear exactly how long the issue will keep him out, the midfielder looks likely to miss the Good Friday visit to Birmingham and the home clash with QPR on Easter Monday.

Defender Scott Malone is still recovering from a rib injury, while Lampard still has a few long-term absentees in the Rams’ first-team ranks.
