Celtic are interested in signing West Brom Star Rekeem Harper, according to a report published by the Daily Record. G
Neil Lennon is set to remain as manager of the club on a rolling contract. The Hoops may have dominated Scottish football this past season as they sailed to a third consecutive domestic treble but they need to make some signings this summer if they want to regain their status as kings of Scottish football next season.
Rangers were largely improved this season and are likely to be better next term as Steven Gerrard uses his contacts to make the team technically more stronger. The 19-year-old Harper went on to score one goal from 17 Championship appearances this season and he also picked up one assist during that time.
The player is likely to join Celtic this summer given that his contract with the Baggies is set to expire. He failed to make a significant impact at the Hawthorns this summer so the club will likely be willing to part ways with him as they look to build a side which can secure automatic promotion to the Premier League next season.
Harper needs to gain more experience and improve the errors in his game if he wants to one day play in the English Premier League. There will thus be no better place for him to be in at the moment than in the Scottish Premier League. Harper has the ability to succeed in Scotland and would be a good signing for the Bhoys.
