Teemu Pukki reportedly rejected a big-money move to China before putting pen to paper on a new deal with Norwich.
Reports from Finnish outlet Ilta-Sanomat claim that the player rejected offers to leave Norwich after their promotion to the Premier League.
Pukki was coming off the back of a fantastic season in the Championship and clearly, his performances were not going unnoticed around the world.
The report also suggests that Pukki had big offers in Europe too, with Benfica among the clubs known to be linked with a move to sign him.
However, it is claimed that the striker was prioritising Premier League football over financial gain following Norwich’s promotion from the Championship.
It was confirmed earlier in the week that the striker had signed a new deal at Carrow Road, committing his future to the club until 2022.
Pukki is now set to lead the line for Norwich in the top flight and will no doubt be a key part of Daniel Farke’s side once again.
