Derby County youngster Calum Macdonald looks set for a move to Blackpool.
The 21-year-old, who has yet to make a senior appearance for the Rams, has emerged as a transfer target for the League One club.
Macdonald has been in and around the senior squad at Pride Park and has been named on the bench in the Championship a number of times.
Having won the under-23 player of the year award in the 2016-17 season, he had success on loan at non-League Barrow where he scored once in 21 appearances.
Macdonald, who has been an ever-present and consistent performer in Darren Wassall’s under-23 side in Premier League 2, also made his Scotland Under-21 debut in October 2016.
Predominantly a left-back, Macdonald has the versatility to play at centre-back and has also featured in the middle of the park.
Blackpool have made a strong start to their League One campaign under Simon Grayson, sitting top with three wins and a draw from their four games.
They still have until the end of the month to sign players either on loan or permanently.
