Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that Nir Bitton is out for three weeks with a hamstring injury.
Ahead of the game against Hamilton on Saturday, Lennon confirmed that Mikey Johnston would also miss the game with a groin injury, with Jozo Simunovic the only other injury issue.
Lennon delivered the injury news in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday lunchtime’s game.
🗣️ NL: “They’ve all came back fit and well. The only absentees we have is Nir who is out for three weeks with a hamstring injury. Mikey with a groin injury and Jozo with an ongoing knee problem but he’s seeing a specialist today.” #HAMCEL

Bitton out, Ajer in?
Bitton has done a solid job for Celtic this season, playing four games out of position at centre-back in the Premiership.
He’s helped Lennon’s side keep two clean sheets, the most impressive being the 2-0 shutout against Rangers at Ibrox.
Bitton limped out of that game after 66 minutes and was later withdrawn from Israel’s international squad, but still received a 7/10 from Football Scotland in their post-match ratings.
Now he’s going to miss games for Celtic, including the first Europa League game against Rennes next week.
The good news for Celtic fans is that it sounds like Kristoffer Ajer is fit to play and he could line up alongside Christopher Jullien, who was so impressive in the Old Firm victory, on Saturday.
Jullien received an 8/10 from Football Scotland, who said he was, “First to everything this afternoon. Looked every bit the defender Celtic splashed the cash on.”
