Neil Lennon provide worrying Celtic injury update

Neil Lennon has admitted that he is monitoring Edouard’s injury on a day to day basis with no date set for the forward return.

On Thursday Lennon explained that the striker had missed the match against Rennes due to a niggle with Edouard also posted missing from today’s match at Ross County.

Lewis Morgan started the 4-1 through the center before being replaced by Leigh Griffiths for the last 15 minutes but it’s the missing Frenchman that Celtic fans are looking for news on.

Covering Lennon’s pre-match interview The Sun reported:

He told BBC Scotland: “I can’t pinpoint when he’ll be back. We have to soldier on without him at the minute and we’ll see how he is as the week goes on. We’re taking it day by day.”

The next update will come on Tuesday ahead of the visit from Hamilton Accies the following day.

Initially it seemed that Edouard had been rested for the Rennes match with an eye on the busy December schedule but perhaps there may be something more serious involved.
