Sunderland could be set for a cash inject with investor Juan Sartori set to return following a recent foray into politics.
The Uruguayan businessman & politician provided the Sundeland with a cash boost in September before taking more of a back seat role to focus on his political career.
However, Charlie Methven, who is the executive director of Sunderland, revealed that Sartori will take more of an active role from December onwards and will spend more time in the north east.
He told the Sunderland Echo: “Juan Sartori put a large chunk of money into the club in September.
“He’s been elected as a senator, which will take up about one week a month of his time.
“But from December, he’ll be here a lot more often.”
Sartori was recently elected as a Uruguayan senator and attempted to become the National Party’s presidential candidate.
