Celtic reported transfer target Fabricio Bruno has had his contract with Brazilian club Cruzeiro terminated, according to report from Globo Esport.
Neil Lennon has been linked with a move for the centre-back for months now, he lost his court battle against Cruzeiro for uncharge fees.
Cruzeiro then accepted an offer from Red Bull Bragantino but there were further problems, with the deal falling to a dead end.
The Daily Record reported that Cruzeiro have paid 500k Brazilian dollars to release him from his deal and he is now a free agent who can now being discussions with other clubs.
The report does state that Cruzeiro will keep a 25% of his registration, meaning any team that wants to sign him will have to buy that 25% or give Cruzeiro a portion of any future transfer free.
