Reports: Premier League club summit bid for Leicester City striker

Relegation fighters Aston Villa have reportedly made a bid to sign Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

Villa apparently wants to take the Algerian international on loan for the remainder of the season.

The striker is currently on loan at French club Monaco, where he has netted seven times in 13 Ligue 1 matches to date.

After expressing his desire to leave AS Monaco, Islam Slimani is in the sights of a Premier League club. According to  L’Equipe , an offer has even been made.

Dean Smith is keen to add to his attacking options during the January window after Wesley was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.

The West Midlands club have also been linked with the likes of Benteke and Chelsea pair Giroud, Michy Batshuayi.
