‘All good’ – Phil Hay delivers positive fitness update on Leeds attacker

According to Phil Hay Tyler Roberts “suffered an infection which, without immediate and effective action, would have put his playing career at risk” last year.

Roberts has struggled with injuries since arriving at Elland Road but has started to show glimpses of being back to his best.

He had three surgeries that put paid to his pre-season and he sat out the first six games before being introduced back to the bench.

Following the statement, one Leeds supporter asked on Twitter: “Has everything completely cleared up with it? No chance of a re-occurrence?”

Phil Hay replied positively, “Yes, all clear after the infection. Caught it with antibiotics and the right treatment”.
