West Ham ready to pay up to £22.5million to sign striker ahead of Arsenal

West Ham are interested in signing  Zenit St Petersburg striker Sardar Azmoun and are ready to fork out £22.5million for his signature.

Area Napoli reports that West Ham are ready to pay the sum of £22.5million to have Sardar Azmoun in the coming summer.

The report also states that Arsenal are pushing for a move too. It reports that Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta went as far to contact former Arsenal player Andrei Arshavin to know about the player.

Sardar Azmoun has recorded good stats for goals this season. He has 14 goals and 7 assists to his name.

West Ham see the 25-year-old Iranian as an ideal partner to Sebastien Haller in the top of their attack. 

The striker has 50 caps for Iran to his name in which he has scored 32 goals.
