West Ham manager David Moyes outlines transfer plans for the upcoming transfer window if the team is able to stay in the Premier League.
After their 2-0 loss to Tottenham, West Ham sit 17th on the Premier League table with 27 points and seven games to play. However, they can fall to the 18th or even 19th position if Bournemouth and Aston Villa win their game in hand.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Moyes said that he want to build the team with new young players.
“We’re lacking goals, but we’re short with what options we’ve got to make that happen.
“We’re still growing, we’ve got one or two new players in the team which we brought in in January, so they’re still getting used to it.
“We want to build a new young team, so we’re trying to get people like Jarrod Bowen, Tomas Soucek, one or two others if we can, and improve on what we’ve got.”
With the crisis created by the global pandemic, it remains to be seen the owners would be ready to provide major funds for any transfers.
